I took the “What Crossword Constructor For The New York Times Are You?” Quiz last week, and I was kind of shocked to see I got Peter A. Collins. I’m not sure what to make of that. Apparently, you can get Brendan Emmett Quigley as a result, but why I didn’t is a mystery. Maybe this means I should write more puzzles for the Times? I don’t know. You tell me.
Share the puzzle, new one on Thursday.
Great puzzle. I was clueless with Lorde and Nereid though.
2005 called, it wants its meme back.
“mail time” was great.
Tough one.
I enjoyed the puzzle, but can someone explain the clue on 11D? Thanks.
Apparently (I hadn’t known this before either) a “bay window” is a synonym for a pot belly, because of the way a bay window projects out of a house.
Thanks Ben – definitely new to me.
BEQ — that link didn’t work, went ot some song. But, I found the quiz you are referring to ===>

Hmmm… the link you post here takes me to a video for “Sultans of Swing” by Dire Straits.
Sorry Andy, it may only make sense to Brendan.
No, no, I get the Dire Straits thing, too. I was just curious to see what the quiz was about, unless, indeed, it is fictional.
