THEMELESS MONDAY: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]
PROGRAMS: [Across Lite] [Adobe Reader]
Liz was in San Diego this weekend for a conference, which meant that I was in San Diego too (with the Tabinator). Southern California instead of the Hoth-like tundra that is the Northeast? Sign me up! I mean, who cares if it’s been rainy, there’s no friggin’ snow on the ground! And as if I needed a reminder, we passed an establishement with this koan/thought for the day/what-have-you and just had to document it. Anyway, I’d just like to point out that food here has been phenomenal. I don’t know what it is, but San Diego really knows how to do good and interesting non-pasta vegetarian dishes, craft beers, and seafood burritos. If my life wasn’t already firmly established in Boston, and I felt like driving all over creation all the time, I think I would live here.
As for today’s puzzle, seeds started from the middle going out into the NE and SW regions. The other two corners were nothing, so I crammed them with the best fun stuff that I could. The cluing feels probably a shade easier than normal Mondays, but then again, your mileage may vary. Favorite clue is 40-Down. Enjoy.
Share the puzzle. New one on Thursday.
I really struggled with the southwest — clever — went over 15 minutes.
Fun puzzle. Thanks.
Tough one. Isn’t the problem with San Diego that everything is always 20 minutes away?
