POOL PARTY: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]
PROGRAMS: [Across Lite] [Adobe Reader]

Special shout out to Amy Reynaldo and Jesse Lansner for both sending me a photo of this boss establishment in D.C. Road trip anyone? Sign me up, oh, I don’t know … whenever I get a car I guess. Or whenever I can get away from my girls for a weekend. Or maybe, if your car can fit three people one of ’em in a booster seat, then we’ve got a posse. Regardless, I guess this was one of the places to grab lunch at this past weekend’s Indie 500 crossword tournament. I heard Roger Barkan won it this year, so congrats to him. Good quality people are behind this event, and they’re selling the batch of puzzles (as well as including a meta suite) for next to nothing. Click here and get your hands on ’em.
As for today’s puzzle, this one’s part of the Diagramless puzzles series that I’m doing. There’s still time to get on board for that, if you like this one. And most subscribers did. Anyway, I’ll send you 30 diagramless if you sign up. $10 and you’re in the club.
Share the puzzles. New one on Thursday.

i was recently asked what was the hardest thing about doing these crosswords. My reply: HAMPTON ROADS.
Ok I just ordered up the 30 diagramless puzzles to get the hang of these bad boys. A little help please. I solved this one with across lite but the only option was to reveal black squares. I really prefer across lite, but the only option to solving these without the diagram is to print them? Do solvers who want to get the full challenge ignore the hint? Thanks, and thanks BEQ.
Without knowing where to begin, these things are more work than fun. Too nerd-centric for the average xword solver. At least the NYT says where the puzzle begins.
If you open AcrossLite and hit the print option that immediately pops up, it will print without the black boxes.
Also, there is an option to find out where the puzzle begins.
Assumes everyone has corset, which is false assumption.
Corset should be acrosslite. Autocorrect.
