Two left right symmetrical grids this week. Coincidence or planned? You tell me. Stay tuned for asymmetric puzzle week. Can you feel the excitement? Damn right I can.
Fans of BEQ.com know that I’ve referred to a Mr. Patrick Berry as one of the three Crossword Jesuses. Well, the miracle man himself has unleashed another batch of (be still my beating heart) cryptic puzzles on us, the solvers who are not worthy of such things. Praise the Lord and pass me my Pilot G-2 pen. Black ink, natch. Because well, I’ve never really liked pencils that much. Anyway, 13 puzzles, two PDFs, plus the eternal satisfaction knowing that every dollar feeds another puzzle maker hearty meals of rice and beans for a week. Get your mitts on it today. Hallelujah!
Share the puzzle. New one on Monday.
Takes a great quote from an eminently quotable individual to make a puzzle like this work. This one had neither.
Should the clue for 63D read “swims”, or the answer be plural? But I cavil. God puzz, as always.
Thanks for the PB heads up.
Thank you for letting everyone know about PBs just released cryptics. The variety type are my favorites and there are EIGHT of them! I’ve already finished 2. “Downsizing” was ingenious. Btw, BEQ, I’m surprised that you don’t make them once in a while…I’d pay!
I am shocked, SHOCKED, that I got a happy pencil upon solving this. I took a stab at the 33D/46A juncture and got it right. Praise God!
Also, Parks & Rec sucked.
