DOGGING IT: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]
PROGRAMS: [Across Lite] [Adobe Reader]
I have been getting a lot of (cute) grief from Tabitha about “when are we going to get a pet?” Who doesn’t love pets? It’s practically a rite of passage in childhood. “Dad, I want a pony.” Okay, Tabitha isn’t bitten by the horse bug, but she really, really wants a pet. Of course, facts are stubborn things and as such, might make it quite challenging to fulfill her wish. The elephant in the room is that, well, our condo is mighty tiny for any animal. Certainly we couldn’t fit an elephant, and depending on the size of the uh, dog/cat/what have you, well, space would be tight. Also complicating matters is that yours truly has an allergy to pet hair. And unless we have museum caliber cleanliness (ha!), that’s bound to be an insurmountable problem. So, in the meantime, it’ll have to be stuffed animals.
Share the puzzle. New one on Monday.
My partner has suggested a “hypoallergenic” potential dog a few times, but my general aversion to purebreed dogs makes that harder to nail down.
Pretty damn slick. Nice one.
Our family has had great luck with a Maltese. No issues with allergies, plus he’s fine in a small space as long as he’s getting attention from us humans.
My Christmas present when I was 9 was a parakeet. You might be opposed to a caged bird but I had her (or him – hard to tell) for 9 years.
Typical tasty fare. Thanks.
We always wanted a dog, but when we had one several years ago, he died and we can’t seem to get over the pain and sadness. Until, we again decided we needed one. Our dog is a great source of happiness. We will never regret having dogs, they really are man’s best friend!
