N AS IN NAME: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]

One thing the daily Times crossword doesn’t do that I kinda think they should do is title their puzzles. A good title sets the tone. Maybe it gets you thinking the same way as the puzzle maker. It can sometimes eliminate the need for a revealer. And when nailed just right, a title can serve as a delayed-reaction joke. All this is to say that when you can’t think of a good title for a puzzle, the title becomes a burden. So, here we are, a good theme in search of a better title. If you come up with one, let me know.
Looking for more puzzles? The Hub Crossword (Sunday puzzles by me and Emily Cox and Henry Rathvon) and Marching Bands year six have begun. So if that To Do list needs even more puzzles, you know what to do.
Share the puzzle. New one on Monday.
How about Tail “N”d. Nah, never mind. Fun puzzle, though. Thanks!
I would go with affected airs.
“Running Err Ns” — depending on how your pronounce “err”
N now for something completely different
In Is Out or Ns and Outs or Silent N-dings
I liked the title! It worked just fine.
N-to-end.
“N as in autumn” ….though maybe that’s blowing your wad too early.
“Happy eNdings” ?
Either way, great puzzle.
