THEMELESS THURSDAY: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]
PROGRAMS: [Across Lite] [Adobe Reader]
Like we always do around this time, it’s time for the midyear pass the hat appeal for fans of the BEQ. Big, big, big reminder: this site remains free. Period. I don’t expect one penny from anyone who comes and solves these puzzles. Like Bryan Adams sang back in the day, everything I do, I do it for you. I bleed puzzles, and well, you are the beneficiaries of that bloodletting. Now, I understand times are really, really tough right now, and puzzles can offer a brief respite from allovit. So hopefully, I have provided a positive break in your day. And if you have enjoyed my work, and can afford it, a small suggested donation of $15 helps keep the site chugging along. PayPal or Venmo (@TheBEQ) preferred.
But seriously, only if you’re able. These puzzles are still coming no matter what. Paywalls are for suckers. The Internet should be free. You’ll always get puzzles from yours truly if/when you need ’em.
Now all those who can chip in, like we always do, get two bonus Sunday-sized puzzles: a themed and a themeless. And one randomly selected donor will receive a year’s subscription to The Hub Crossword.
Summer appeal ends on July 2.
Themeless Thursday for you today. Hope y’all enjoy it.
Share the puzzle. New one on Monday.
Any other way to pay you besides PayPal or Venmo? Can I mail you a check?
I too am more than happy to make a donation but I don’t do PayPal or any other online method you suggest. I am so happy with your wonderful puzzles, even more so with your clues, I would love to contribute. You are bar none my favorite constructor. Keep up the great work!!
Neal – if you click on the Tip Yr Constructor in the right hand column, it also takes you to PayPal but has the option to use a debit or credit card.
Don’t know why the one BEQ usually references doesn’t have this.
Don’t have Venmo or PayPal. Any other means of contributing?
The ability to perform mental gymnastics on a continuous basis with creativity is a rare gift. Those who participate or try to emulate live a word apart. Thanks to BEQ
Hello, I love your puzzles — they are clever and irreverent. However, as I age, I have less patience with the world in general. Would you ever consider programming your page to show incorrect letters as soon as they are typed? I spend way too much time having to leave the puzzle and go to the “check” bar. Thank you.
Your fan,
