THEMELESS MONDAY: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]
PROGRAMS: [Across Lite] [Adobe Reader]
ANNOUNCEMENT: If you are still getting puzzles via email, apparently the subscription service that I’ve been using is closing up shop this month. In fact, within the weeks. I’m still looking for alternatives, but in the meantime, give yourself a reminder that you can always just come to the site and your twice weekly BEQ fix right from the source, this here website.
Looking for more puzzles? The Hub Crossword (Sunday puzzles by me and Emily Cox and Henry Rathvon) and Marching Bands year seven have begun. So if that To Do list needs even more puzzles, you know what to do.
Share the puzzle. New one on Thursday.
Hi Brendan,
I almost finished it clean, only I ITC at 32 Across which could’ve been right. If we were in India. Because I figured a STEP CRACKER might be some tool I didn’t know about. Like, say, a gizmo that somehow protects a pedestrian from any ill effects of stepping on a crack? Anyway, it was great fun. Thank you!
Since you bring up Poor YORICK, some years back I surmised that Yorick was killed by King Claudius after getting on his bad sign, perhaps when he was in a bad mood. Afterwards he would unceremoniously have him buried not in God’s Little Acre but a graveyard for paupers. Eventually these grave robbers would exhume some of the hapless residents and steal whatever they can. Also I had read the play in both the Tenth Grade and Twelfth Grade. Also likely the quasi-$ shape of this grid.
