This puzzle is going out to all of you who might be getting extra servings on Thanksgiving. Gluttony, for lack of a better word, is good.
Today also begins our annual end of the year drive. Those familiar to the program (special shout out to the mad folks who’ve been there since day one back in 2008!) know that the puzzles on this site are free. On the house. Gratis. Go to town. Solve ’em, don’t solve ’em, love ’em, hate ’em. It doesn’t matter. This is what I do, and everything I do, I do it for you. However, there are some costs that are required to keep the lights on at Chez BEQ.com. So, if you’ve been enjoying the puzzles these last couple of months, please consider a couple throwing a couple of beans in the old tip jar. Suggested donation of $20, please and thank you, through PayPal or Venmo preferred, but there’s always Zelle (to the email in the “get in touch” link coming up), checks, hell I’ll take crypto. Get in touch.
You could consider this sorta like the NPR fundraiser, but unlike that station, the Biz Quig doesn’t get any federal funding. And if I did, it woulda been the first thing cut this year. And like the NPR fundraiser appeals, you can ignore this as well wihtout any sort of guilt. My puzzles are coming out twice weekly regardless. So keep on solving them. You should only chip in if you’ve got some money burning a hole in your pocket. The drive will continue through January 1, and everyone who can chip in will get two bonus Sunday-sized puzzles (one themed, one themeless) as a thank you. And, as always, one randomly selected donor will get a book from my shelf that I’m never going to read again. Or one that I will never read. It might even be a puzzle book, you never know. Thanks to everyone ahead of time who can chip in.
PROGRAMMING NOTE: If you were thinking about giving that special someone in your life a custom-made crossword this Christmas/Hannukah/Kwanzaa/whatever the Flying Spaghetti Monster People celebrate/etc., get in touch sooner than later.
