CHEMICAL ATTRACTIONS: [ PUZ][ PDF][ FULLSCREEN]
PROGRAMS: [Across Lite] [Adobe Reader]
Here’s something that happens, probably more often than we think. Especially now that there are more puzzles put out today than we can possibly hope to solve them all. But still. Consider today’s offering a “who wore it better” competition with yesterday’s WSJ. And if you’re going to have synchronicity with somebody in the field, why not line up with somebody like Andrea Carla Michaels.
Share the puzzle. New one on Monday.

Thanks, Brendan! (Psst…put a question mark after the clue for 49A)
31-A. Not a fan of gratuitous grossness. Dice game reference instead?
You must be new here.
The “who wore it better” framing is hilarious and also slightly sad for solvers trying to keep up with the daily puzzle arms race. CHEMICAL ATTRACTIONS is a great theme title — vague enough to mislead, specific enough to click once you see the grid. The Across Lite version’s clue writing felt tighter than the WSJ’s at similar difficulty.
