Funny little puzzle today. I built it from the middle out, for no other reason than to see if I could do it that way. The end result: a grid that doesn’t appear to be as, shall we say, wide-open as most other themeless puzzles. I probably won’t be doing future themelesses this way, but as an exercise, it yielded some fun results.
Share the puzzle. New one Thursday.
Put in CONCERT for CONCEPT. That’s a great clue for one of those sneaky two-letters-fit type themes. Yikes.
Speaking of which, I 35D listening to every one of the Rush studio albums ever made in chronological yesterday on Geddy Lee’s BDay which I dubbed GEDDaY. This would include a few 32D albums like the one they just put out. I start at midnight on 07/29/12 precisely with Finding My Way up til the very last song in the catalogue which is The Garden. And 19 albums in between. I can take some breaks but I have to be careful with scheduling. This is very mind-numbing but I can find myself getting energized thankfully at certain occasions. Thankfully Rush resorts to VARIEGATION of THEMES like the best of them (The Beatles, LZ, and a rare few). And I used EARPHONES the whole time, in case you’re wondering (no sleeping either!) I did not resort to using 62D or anything else. I was a fan of this band for 30 years, give or take a week, I’m pretty sure of. This is a BUCKET LIST type of thing to do.
Ditto. Man, did that screw me up!
I forgot to mention REM as a group you can count on for variegation of themes. And you just happen to have the video posted above!
