If you had missed the announcement I’d made earlier today, the blog puzzles on this will be posted 6 p.m. Eastern time, not 9 a.m. Why you might ask? Because I’m honored to have my puzzles run in the new Facebook app Puzzle Social as well as on this very site. Same puzzles, two totally different ways to enjoy my work.

Don’t let the Simpsons-esque appearance of Puzzle Social fool you, there are some serious puzzles on there. Regulars to this site are crossword connoisseurs, so reading who’s involved should make their mouths water. You can find my work under the AV Club banner, alongside Matt Gaffney’s crossword contest, Ben Tausig’s Ink Well, the Onion, and Patrick Blindauer puzzles especially made for Puzzle Social. For our friends who haven’t caught the puzzle bug, yet, point them to the Celebrity channel. That boasts all new, easier, pop culture puzzles from titans like 2/3rds of the Crossword Jesus trifecta (Patrick Berry and Frank Longo), La Liz Gorski, and BEQ.com friend Mike Nothnagel to name just three. Stan Newman’s Newsday puzzles and CrosSynergy round out the roster. It’s a one-stop shop to some of the best independent and national puzzles around.

As for today’s puzzle, I like to think of it as a complement to the one I’d reposted earlier today. I guess I’m in a Christmassy mood. Happy holidays to you all, whatever you might celebrate.
