It may not look like it on the surface, but for this puzzle, I tried to do my best impersonation of a Ross Trudeau crossword. Now those that know me, know that I am truly terrible with impersonations. Comically bad. I might get a mannerism, or a very loose approximation of the voice right, but I’m generally miles away from target. I blame my mush mouth. On my best days, I talk like I’m gargling marbles. On my worst days, well, listen sometime to me doing Duolingo. Put it this way: my French is a war crime.
Anyway, long story short: I started off pushing myself to make a “Rossword,” and somewhere along the line, it just became a BEQ puzzle. And when you copy yourself, it’s called style.
Looking for more puzzles? The Hub Crossword (Sunday puzzles by me, Emily Cox and Henry Rathvon, and Joon Pahk) and Marching Bands year eight has begun. So if that To Do list needs even more puzzles, you know what to do.
Share the puzzle. New one on Monday.
Yeah, ROSSWORDS are great! Love ’em. 😀
ITOO love Ross’s puzzles, Brendan o’ mine, but you’re different — be yourself, you’re terrific.
I loved learning about 35 Down…new to me.
Thanks for a nice time!
