66 worder today. Enjoy.
Looking for more puzzles? The Hub Crossword (Sunday puzzles by me and Emily Cox and Henry Rathvon) and Marching Bands year six have begun. So if that To Do list needs even more puzzles, you know what to do.
Share the puzzle. New one on Thursday.
Loved it, especially the clue for 37D. I don’t know why I have to know stuff to be a super solver…I had 47A and 48D, only they didn’t seem to fit the clues (especially 48D!) so I just looked them both up! 🙂
Thank you, Brendan!
Sorry, I meant the clue for 37A, sheesh.
That was a pretty “medium/easy” hard one, Brendan. I think it’s time for you to recalibrate. You’ve been off a few times lately. Thanks for the puzzle!
You don’t have to know stuff to be a super solver; you have to get good at making educated guesses.
I probably had the same mistake as you in that crossing (D for R?) but as you said, the answers didn’t fit the clues well. Once I realized I had a mistake somewhere, I was able to find and correct it without looking anything up.
Even if you look things up when you get stuck, once you get the solution, if you make a habit of thinking about how you might have guessed it based on what you knew, I’d wager money that you’ll find yourself getting a lot better at that and becoming able to infer things that you would have previously considered unguessable.
55A: Wedge issue Ans: stroke
No idea what this means. Anyone?
i think it’s a golf thing…
