Big shout out to all the mad men and women who write for “Richard Osman’s House of Games.” Most of the regular solvers of this site don’t know about that show. It’s on the BBC, kind of a combination of trivia and word play among other sorts of mental challengy things. It’s fun, if you’re into that sort of thing. You can find episodes on YouTube. Now, I know some of those writers are out there, don’t hide. I’m going to say I don’t always watch the show, but when I do, I sometimes, occasionally, become inspired to make a puzzle. This was one of those times. Cheers!
Looking for more puzzles? The Hub Crossword (Sunday puzzles by me and Emily Cox and Henry Rathvon) and Marching Bands year six have begun. So if that To Do list needs even more puzzles, you know what to do.
Share the puzzle. New one on Monday.
This was a “hard” for me. It took over a minute longer to complete than Monday’s puzzle. Lots of lingo that went over my head.
61A, while a word and correctly clued, is a form of the word I’ve never heard before. I’ve heard the superlative but I would like to see the comparative used “in the wild”.
favorite clues for this one, has to be 34D and 16A.
Hard for me, too, but it eventually all added up. Thanks, Brendan.
Hard, and had to give up on this one. Probably just me…
Got it, but don’t get it.
Love the theme! Too hard for me, though, had to reveal the solution 🙁
I see what you did there 😉
Definitely a HARD one. Good fun!
