A goofy video featuring the Boston Typewriter Orchestra surfaced last Friday. You can be forgiven if you didn’t see it because it was on Yahoo! Yeah, I was surprised to hear that Yahoo! was still a thing, but here we are. Anyway, it’s silly, check it out if you want to see yours truly wearing a tie.
Share the puzzle. New one on Thursday.
TIL, that 1D exists side-by-side with Monégasque.
45D x 59A was a natick for me.
This being VETERAN’s DAY this very day……Having spent 4 years in the US Army. And YEZZ! i Spent a good deal of that time doing crossvvords in the latter part of the 1980s. Of course, i couldn’t really be doing a lot of them at the beginning of Basic Training vvhich involved getting to knovv everything about M60 Tanks but soon enough I’d get some spare time to do the things. That’s the only …..significant gap of inactivity vvith the CPs i could recall.
Your wording for the clue for 61A is garbled, maybe ‘change tires’ –> ‘tire changes’?
This was a particularly fun hard puzzle. Maybe because there were fewer names — and because “mating call” and “strip poker” were so clever…
