THEMELESS MONDAY: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]
PROGRAMS: [Across Lite] [Adobe Reader]
Last week of school for Tabitha this week. Her teacher’s been going over the term “bittersweet” with the kids, and as such everything’s bittersweet in Tabitha’s eyes. Which is cute. Anyway, Mommy and Daddy camp starts next week, and heaven help me because it means slightly less work time starting next Monday. To get ahead of that, I’ve set the impossibly high task of getting All The Puzzles Done this week, which, I mean, is totally laughable right? There’s a zero chance of that happening and I hate myself already for even suggesting it. Good times. Good times.
Thanks for all who’ve been able to chip in to the summer drive so far. Reminder the puzzles are free, so don’t feel any obligation to chip in. But, if you’ve been enjoying the puzzles for 2019 so far, please consider a $15 tip (PayPal or Venmo @TheBEQ preferred; email me if neither works for you) just to keep the site chugging along. All tippers get two bonus Sunday puzzles, and one randomly selected person will will get free admission to Boswords (July 27! Mark your calendars!). Thanks again.
Share the puzzle. New one on Thursday.
One correction, Boswords is actually Sunday, July 28 (which is unfortunate as I have another obligation that day, so won’t be able to attend even though I’ll be in the Boston area ๐ )
24 D&A was a bit Natick-y as I knew neither…but made a lucky guess based on the sound…
Same here, although “a bit” is an understatement for me.
When Wendell Willkie met Madame Chiang Kai-shek, it was love at first sight. Or maybe just lust at first sight. Either way, the smitten pair, both married to other people, managed to slip away for a steamy one-night stand. It happened in 1942, in Chungking, Chinaโs wartime capital.
