CHILL OUT: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]

Just played the above video for Liz and she claimed she had never heard that song before. I sometimes wonder if we’re from different planets, but probably the easier explanation is that New Edition never made it over to England. Lord knows there’s plenty of British bands that she listened to growing up that I’d never heard of because they’d never made it to the States. Acts like Dollar and Bucks Fizz. But here we are. Anyway, enjoy the throwback and enjoy the crossword.
Share the puzzle. New one on Monday.
Seemed more Hard to me, but very enjoyable. As an out-of-towner, I was proud to get 21D right away.
More SAMiAMism (a bucket list for solving crossvvords or vvhatever the pastime is): Dravving up a grid and the ansvvers to a vveekend puzzle from the Nevv York Times on a CANVAS about, say, 2 stories high. Using ladders and scaffolds to enter the ansvvers. The vvriting implement? SPRAY PAINT. Or i can splatter on Mayonnaise or pig’s blood, don’t matter to me. Also there’s this thing solvers do vvhen dealing vvith difficult puzzles: VVrite up letters and blank spaces a la the gameboard of VVheel of Fortune, in order to attmept to visualize the correct ansvver. i’M so gratified i am practically never having to do that again.
Crosswords challenge one’s knowledge and I learned something new with this one…epact. Did not know that! Thanks, Brendan!
