SENIORITIS: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]
PROGRAMS: [Across Lite] [Adobe Reader]
I’ll say it: I suffered from Senioritis since, oh, about my sophomore year. Of high school. School and Brendan wasn’t always the best mix. Except for the classes I cared about. Both of them. I turned out okay, I guess.
Share the puzzle. New one on Monday.
Boy, I struggled with this one. Nearly 18 minutes. I gotta hand it to you, I never thought I’d see the Norwegian flat bread in a crossword. Well done!
Didn’t find it all that hard, not like a Monday themeless. Thought the crossing of 65D and 64A odd. BTW, 65A is incorrect. 65A are left in the barrel, what can be in the bottle are tartaric acid crystals.
Well, I’m no slouch but I don’t understand the gimmick of this puzzle at all. Is there somewhere to go for an explanation of the conceit? Take out the “ef?” Then what ?
think of what might happen to a senior’s grades if they had senioritis. It took me a while to hit on the theme as well, very nice “aha” moment.
Still don’t get it.
Glad to see lefse finally has its moment of fame.
Could someone please break down one clue that exemplifies how the theme works? Like AZPete, I can’t figure out what’s going on.
Oops, just got it…grade goes from A to F…
Huh??
Siri – check out the Fiend website at CrosswordField [dot] com. It’s a great site. Always reviews BEQ.
Confidently filled in defcon Blues……..
For those who think 65A is correct, see the sentence [When the sediment’s in the wine barrel or vat, it’s called “lees.”] in the paragraph that begins [Don’t be scared] at https://vinepair.com/wine-blog/what-are-wine-dregs-wine-sediment/ .
Ah, I take it back, lees are found in some wine bottles. See “Today you won’t find lees sediments in any bottles of wine except among sparkling wines and champagnes made according to traditional methods where secondary fermentation occurs in the bottle itself.” in the “Sediment During Wine Production” section at http://wine-tasting-reviews.com/wine-basics-drinking-buying/open-wine/209-sediment-wine-decant-lees-tartrate.html .
Like AZPete, I can’t figure out what’s going on.
