BOARD MEETING: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]
PROGRAMS: [Across Lite] [Adobe Reader]
My first job out of college was an editorial assistant at Houghton Mifflin in their math education division. Second grade math specifically. Good times. That entailed mostly photocopying mountains of documents and shipping them to various people. That sounds like the stone ages. Anyway, I vaguely remember there might have been some “fact checking,” but that was just making sure certain state requirements were met in the material. It was not a particularly demanding job. How could it have been with “responsibilities” like that? So yeah, I remember the weekly meetings we’d have. Since I couldn’t contribute to the discussion, I always came prepared with a puzzle. One photocopied puzzle “hidden” in a manila folder, held up so nobody could see what I was writing down. Though let’s face it. 22 year olds are idiots and everybody knew what I was doing.
Now, if anybody out there successfully solves this puzzle during a meeting, let me know, all right? All right.
Now, if anybody out there succcessfuly solves a puzzle from “Drunk Crosswords” durng a meeting, let me know, all right? All right.
Share the puzzle. New one on Monday.
Printed it out and solved during an annual, mandatory, one-hour training session on the appropriate use of the company’s email system. Does that count?
Not in a meeting but at work on my computer … everyone is probably wondering why it sounds like I’m coding in such a frenzy…
Did you work with Will Johnston at HM?
