Happy Independence Day. And what a better way to celebrate the day than to post a tweet from my good friend and fellow indie constructor: “Miracle” Matt Gaffney. Matt took a moment to share an old puzzle he made when was just starting out. And, what can I say, I was so inspired by it that I decided to fill the grid in with my own words. So thanks again, Matt, for continuing to inspire me. Hope I did it justice.
Also, today’s the last day for the Summer BEQ drive. So if you were planning on getting the bonus Sunday puzzles, this is your last chance. You know the drill now. A $10 tip keeps the machine going, and as a thank you, I’ll hook you up with the bonus puzzles. Toss in another $10 and you can get a year’s worth of Marching Bands, another $10 and you can get Diagramless puzzles as well. Thanks to all who were able to chip in. If you were unable to this time, I stll love you. Oh, by the way, I’ll announce the randomly winner of “Drunk Crosswords” on Thursday.
Share the puzzle.
Typo in 1-A…also, don’t get 46-D but maybe I’m missing something? Fun puzzle!
Thanks buddy! I guess those corners were really only pre-Crossword Compiler scary.
A name fest. So for you, BEQ, I have to give this puzzle -1 star.
To be more precise/fair it was a trivia/proper/lingo fest (Too bad there’s no edit button.)
COS crossing FELON. I’ll drink to that!
TCB X BOAC is maybe the ugliest crossing I’ve ever seen. That B is just not gettable. I googled both and have never heard of either. Yuck.
