THEMELESS MONDAY: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]

I’ve been going through a gorgeous book of cryptics lately: “Out of Left Field,” a collection of Joshua Kosman and Henry Picciotto’s lovely puzzles for The Nation. This collection is available in other digital formats before, but this is the first time in a printed anthology. Sixty block cryptics, many of theme have themes, which makes for a nice spin on the form. I’d rate these as a shade easier than most cryptics, but then again, I look at the screwball crazy hard British puzzles, so my judgment might be off. Regardless, if you’re into these kinds of puzzles, pick up a copy. Every household should have two.
Share the puzzle. New one on Thursday.
Hot dang, that was a good puzzle! 33A is probably the weakest fill but I had a Viking-style D&D character who worshiped him, so it was easy for me. Also, Odin and Thor get use too damn much anyway. Again, excellent puzzle!
…the other book, a collectors’ item, sealed in Mylar. Def Nittily! i got Drunk Crosswords from Barnes & Noble, a place so dear in my heart that i’d rather get any product from there than thru Amazon or any other place. Sequel should be Hallucinatory Cs or Stoned Cs. For Cryps, i do the LOVATT’s (Australia/New Zealand) CCs regularly. So glad that i can make it thru each and every one of them.
35D just made an amazing catch running out to center field.
