THEMELESS MONDAY: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]
PROGRAMS: [Across Lite] [Adobe Reader]
Summer’s here and the time is right. For uh, dancing in the streets, I guess? Barbecues? Yes, that too. Speaking of, I grilled some ahi tuna yesterday, and it was delicious. I should share the marinade recipe sometime. Anyway, what else … Oh yeah, summer’s good for swimming probably, if you’re into that whole water thing. And of course, the time is also right for some bonus puzzles.
Bonus puzzles can only mean one thing: it’s summer drive time. Remember, BEQ.com is free. Look around and point to where the “subscription” button is. Don’t bother looking, it doesn’t exist. I’m doing this for you, and you, and you. But I like tips. If you can chip in $10 to keep the site chugging along, I’ll hook you up with two bonus 21xs (one themed, and one themeless). Every one of you BEQ regulars know the drill by now. So if you’ve liked the work recently, think about chipping in. I take Wallet (use my email), Venmo (@TheBEQ), and checks too, Email me and I’ll give you the details.
One randomly selected donor will receive a copy of “Drunk Crosswords” as a thank you. (The drive ends on July 3rd).
Speaking of “Drunk Crosswords,” I will be doing a book reading/talk/quiz thing at Brookline Booksmith this Thursday at 7:00. Wine will be served to get us in the mood. If you’re in the neighborhood, come on by.
Share the puzzle. Chip in if you can. New puzzle on Thursday.
NE was trivia test, a good example of the how crosswords can be quizzes rather than puzzles.
I can think of at least one other baseball player who had his first name on the jersey. I will let you think about it before I post the answer.
Thumbs up on 47 across. LOL
I think mobiles move and 1-acrosses don’t.
Vida Blue was another. See “1971” at http://www.espn.com/espn/page2/story?page=lukas/041202
That’s right.
Correct!
