The other night I was fortunate enough to indulge in a beer summit with fellow Greater Bostonian Steve Mossberg (he would be the better looking of the two gentlemen in the above pic). Good guy! You might recognize his name from all the usual crossword markets. And since everybody’s doing it nowadays anyway, good ole SM’s got his own blog, Square Pursuit. And crucially, he frequently posts cryptics. Yet another brave soul doing the thankless work pushing that cryptic crossword boulder up the hill. Well, I say, I know this guy, he’s okay. You should be supporting the efforts. Go there when yr. done with today’s offering.
Oh yeah. New BEQ t-shirts available. Just in time for Christmas. Get ’em here. 15% off for the next week or so.
Looking for more puzzles? The Hub Crossword (Sunday puzzles by me and Emily Cox and Henry Rathvon) and Marching Bands year seven have begun. So if that To Do list needs even more puzzles, you know what to do.
Share the puzzle. New one on Monday.
No comments by Saturday afternoon? I’ll comment that it’s a cute puzzle that I would have rated “easy” rather than “medium”.
Thanks Brendan!
as usual, lots of original cluing here. There are the typical Crosswordese ANSWERS that I’ve must’ve entered thousands upon thousands and maybe even tens of thousands for all I know. Don’t think i came across a single one here.
